血管性認知症の予防、治療法の開発を行っています。この目的のため慢性脳虚血モデルを確立し、血管性認知症の基礎と臨床病態の解析を行ってきました。また、認知症医療学講座を設置し、認知症の地域コホート研究を目指しています。
